A highly respected and long-established construction and civil engineering business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Bid Writer to join its growing pre-construction and work-winning team.

The Opportunity

As Senior Bid Writer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of PQQs, tenders and framework submissions, helping secure a strong pipeline of projects across both public and private sectors.

Youll work closely with operational, commercial and leadership teams to produce engaging, high-scoring content that clearly communicates the businesss strengths, values and technical expertise.

This is far more than a box-ticking bid role the business is looking for someone who can genuinely shape submissions, influence win strategies, and bring creativity and quality to every tender response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Writing, editing and coordinating high-quality bid and tender submissions
  • Producing compelling content tailored to client requirements
  • Managing bid responses from initial kick-off through to submission
  • Collaborating with operational teams to extract technical information
  • Supporting framework and public sector submissions
  • Helping continuously improve bid library content and processes

What Were Looking For as a Senior Bid Writer:

  • Proven experience within bid writing or bid management
  • Exposure to construction, infrastructure or civil engineering sectors
  • Exceptional written communication and editing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
  • The confidence to work with senior stakeholders across the business
  • A creative approach to storytelling and work-winning submissions

Experience within construction or civil engineering bids would be highly advantageous.
