Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with complex medical needs, autism, and profound learning difficulties.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and medical routines (training provided).
• Use visual aids, sensory strategies, and communication tools (PECS, Makaton, AAC).
• Implement behaviour regulation plans with a calm, patient, and consistent approach.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support teams.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

About You

• Compassionate, reliable, and able to build trust with children who have high levels of need.
• Willing to undertake training in medical support, moving & handling, and specialist communication.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing needs.
• Experience with SEN, care, support work, or health & social care is desirable but not essential.
