Estimator (Electrical) \n\n Location: Milton Keynes (Office Based)\nSalary: Up to £60,000 + Package\nSector: Construction / Building Services / M&E\n\n The Company\n\n A well-established multi-disciplinary contractor delivering projects across Facilities Management, M&E, Small Works, and Design & Build construction projects throughout the UK.\n\n The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial projects and is continuing to grow its pre-construction and estimating function due to an increasing pipeline of work.\n\n The Role\n\n An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator (Electrical ) to join a growing pre-construction team based in Milton Keynes.\n\n The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing electrical packages across a range of commercial projects, working closely with operations, commercial, and project delivery teams to produce accurate and competitive tenders.\n\n This role would suit someone with a strong electrical background who understands both technical delivery and commercial pricing within construction or building services environments.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n\nPrepare detailed electrical estimates and cost plans from drawings, specifications, and tender documents\nReview project documentation and identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options\nProduce accurate take-offs and pricing for labour, materials, subcontractors, and equipment\nLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations\nSupport bid submissions and tender presentations\nWork closely with project managers and commercial teams during handover stages\nAttend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required\nMaintain strong knowledge of current market rates and industry trendsRequirements\n\n Essential\n\nPrevious experience as an Electrical Estimator within construction or building services\nStrong understanding of electrical installations and M&E systems\nExperience pricing commercial fit-out, FM, refurbishment, or construction projects\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications\nCommercially aware with strong attention to detail\nExcellent communication and organisational skillsDesirable\n\nExperience within multi-disciplinary contractors or M&E contractors\nElectrical qualifications or trade background\nExperience using estimating software\nKnowledge of both small works and larger project tenders
